De nyklækkede verdensmestre fra Samsung Galaxy White skal ud og lede efter forstærkninger på support-pladsen, da Cho "Mata" Sehyoung har valgt at gå sin egen vej. Mata har også fungeret som in-game leader og caller i sin tid hos holdet.
Samsung Galaxy White vandt i sidste weekend verdensmesterskaberne i League of Legends, som netop blev holdt på SSWs hjemmebane, Sydkorea.

Hello this is Cho 'Mata' Sehyoung. I decided to quit the Samsung roster from this season. During Worlds I thought about whether I should continue with my professional league career or go to the army (it's mandatory in Korea) or stream. During my time as a pro player my small ambition was to spread my name to many people and to win the worlds, and I have finally achieved my goals. I still want to spread my name over many people so I want to stream for a while. It's complicated haha.. but I will think positively about it. If I happen to join other team or retire, I wish you all continue to cheer for and support Cheonju, Dayun, Eojin, Hyuk gyu, Gwan Hyung, Hyung Suk, In Kyu, Won Seok, Seung Bin, Young Jin, Se Hoon, Myeong Won, Sung Young, coach Woo Bum and our manager Yoon Sang Choi. Mata blev kåret som turneringens MVP efter flotte præstationer i både gruppespillet og de efterfølgende finalerunder på især Thresh og Janna, hvoraf han med sidstnævnte landede en solid 100% win-rate ud af otte spillede kampe.
