The Nordic Open is a Riot Games run tournament to find the best of the best amateur teams in all the Nordic countries. The tournament will occur simultaneously on both EUNE and EUW to ensure that everyone has a chance to play, regardless of which server they call home. This is an amazing opportunity for everyone from friends looking to participate in their first tournament, to teams that are striving for a spot in Challenger Series. Selve turneringen starter den 2. maj og online-kvalifikationen løber frem til 24. maj. Tilmeldingen er åben, og du har indtil den 28. april til at få stablet et hold på benene. Efter kvalifikationerne vil der blive afholdt offline semifinaler og finaler, men vi kender ikke så mange detaljer om denne del endnu, Riot har dog sagt, at der snart kommer mere information.
Er du på det vindende hold napper du 5000 RP, Triumphant Ryze-skin, og så VIP billetter til World Finals i Berlin, komplet med fly og hotel. Andenpladsen får det samme, blot er billetterne til League of Legends Championship Series Summer Split finals.

Now that our players in the Nordics have wriggled free of winter’s bite, we wanted to help heat things up a few extra degrees with some competitive League of Legends!
We’re excited to announce that sign-ups are now live for the Nordic Open, a special regional tournament available to players who are citizens or current residents of the following countries: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland or Iceland (and their autonomous regions). We’ll be running the tournament on both EUW and EUNE, with the best teams being brought together for an offline grand final in the region. We’re finalising the details now and look forward to revealing the venue and dates soon.
The Nordic Open isn’t about pitting teams from one country against another, but simply a guide for who’s eligible to compete in this particular tournament. If you want to set up a dream team with the highest-ELO player from each of the five participating countries, go for it! Still climbing the ranked ladder? Don’t worry. If you enjoy hanging out with your friends online and mashing buttons in exchange for the possibility of winning some cool prizes, then you should take part!
Speaking of prizes, members of the team that ends up first-place overall will receive a prize pack including tickets, accommodation and return travel to experience the League of Legends World Finals in Berlin as a special guest of Riot. The second-place team wins tickets, accommodations and return travel to the Summer Split playoff finals.
